Cushing school holds first Sweetheart Dance
Cushing — Cushing Community School held its first annual Sweetheart Dance Friday, April 11.
Students were able to attend the semi-formal dance with a loving adult in their life. They could attend with a father, mother, grandparent, aunt, uncle, sibling, etc.
Students and adults danced the night away with help from DJ Dylan Hitz, a student at Oceanside High School West, who volunteered at the event.
Along with dancing, there was also a photo booth, raffles, a flower sale, face painting, and more. Guest were also provided with a variety of refreshments.
This event was planned and sponsored by The Friends and Family of Cushing Community Schoolgroup. Jolie Hatch was the volunteer event planner and many other members of the group and students from other schools in the district volunteered their time to make this event a success. The event was sponsored financially by Mike and Anne Engelhart, Kris and Holly Vose, Midcoast Diesel Performance, Tim's Handiman Service, The Bridal Bouquet, Hannaford Supermarket, Shaws Supermarket, The Flower Goddess, and Harold C. Ralph Chevrolet.
