Voters in Cushing are invited to meet Maine State Representative Ed Mazurek at an informal gathering from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday October 18^th at the Cushing Community School.  Rep. Mazurek is the Democratic candidate for Senate District 22, which represents Cushing and most of Knox County.

Independent candidate Jeff Evangelos has also been invited.  He is running for House District 49, which represents Cushing, Friendship, Warren and Union.  There is no Democratic candidate for that seat.

In addition to time for voters to speak with and hear from the candidates, the committee will have a brief business meeting and show the short documentary produced by the Obama re-election campaign, “The Road We’ve Traveled.”  Refreshments will be served.
