'Cross My Heart' in Friday film series
Thomaston — Friends of the Thomaston Public Library presents its Friday Night Film Series with screenings Fridays at 6:30 p.m. in the community room of Thomaston Public Library in the Thomaston Academy Building, 60 Main St./Route 1. The theme for November’s movies is French and Italian Comedy.
The Nov. 9 film is "Cross My Heart", a 105-minute film from 1990. Martin's behavior changes radically — he doesn't talk or laugh any more — and his schoolfellows discover that his mother died some days ago. Now he is frightened of being sent to an orphanage. His schoolmates swear a pact to preserve his home life at all costs. Filled with comic escapades and bittersweet adventures, this film that brings back the magic and mystery of childhood.
Friday Night Films are open to the public and free of charge, but donations are gratefully accepted. The Thomaston Academy Building is handicapped accessible from the rear entrance and light refreshments will be served. For more information, call the library at 354-2453.
