Courier Publications sports team now on TwitterTeam will tweet at select sporting events, follow at @KnoxWaldoSports
Starting Thursday, Dec. 12, the Courier Publications sports team's Twitter feed will be available to view on the organization's Knox and Waldo websites, inside the sports section on the site (simply click "sports" in the navigational bar at the top of the home page to get to the sports section).
The Twitter feed became active on Dec. 2 and live game tweets began Friday, Dec. 6 at the Oceanside at Medomak Valley boys and girls basketball doubleheader.
Sports Director Ken Waltz, Associate Sports Director Mark Haskell and editorial assistant Holly Vanorse Spicer will live tweet at select sporting events and on various sports subjects from time to time.
Twitter also will be a way to keep up-to-date on postponements of games and to know when stories on sporting events will be published.
The Courier Publications sports team follows youth, school and adult sports in Knox, Waldo and part of Lincoln counties.

Mark has been covering local sports throughout Knox, Waldo and part of Lincoln county since 2007. He has a bachelor's degree in Mass Communication from the University of Maine and is also a 2000 graduate of Rockland District High School.
Mark is an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox, fantasy sports, the AMC drama "Breaking Bad" and iced coffee.
He resides in Thomaston with his wife Jenn and sons Beckett and Austin.
