Courier Publications donates to animal shelter
Thomaston — A check in the amount of $94.43 was presented to Tracy Sala, Executive Director of Pope Memorial Humane Society of Knox County by Ruth Roberts, Sales Representative for The Courier-Gazette.
The funds were raised by 13 different businesses who sponsored pets for adoption in The Courier-Gazette's recent All About Animals publication. The Courier donated 15 percent of the sponsorships to the PMHSKC.
"The All About Animals insert is a great way to showcase the wonderful, deserving animals available for adoption at PMHSKC and all the shelters and rescues in the area. We're grateful for the businesses who supported our animals through their advertising, the Courier for giving back with their gift and all who came in to the shelter to adopt our featured animals and help with our mission of saving lives and creating families," Sala said in a news release.
Participating businesses were: Bartlett Woods, Farley & Son Landscaping, Fresh Off the Farm, Harbor Hounds,The Harley Company Landscaping & Property Maintenance, Hoboken Gardens, Loyal Biscuit, Maine Coast Petroleum, Pet Quarters, Rockland Marketplace, Salty Dog Salon, Schooner Bay Taxi, and University College at Rockland.
