Washington, D.C. — Ken Vencile, a biology teacher at Camden Hills Regional High School and winner of the Presidential Award for Excellence in Math and Science Teaching, recently met with U.S. Rep. Chellie Pingree in her Washington office.

The Presidential Awards for Excellence in Math and Science Teaching are the nation's highest honors for teachers of mathematics and science. Awardees serve as models for their colleagues, inspiration to their communities, and leaders in the improvement of mathematics and science education.
