Concert down by the old mill stream
Warren — The Town of Warren will present a gala concert for all ages Sunday, Sept. 23 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Woolen Mill Park, downtown on the banks of the St. George River. The free concert will feature Bay Winds North, a Rockland-based brass and wind ensemble.
Bay Winds North is celebrating a very successful third year as a performing group. Some 25 to 35 musicians practice and perform weekly, some members traveling more than 50 miles to play. Their presentations feature show tunes, concert medleys, marching music and novelty selections.
Past Music In the Park concerts have featured the blues duet Two by Fo; country performers Ronnie and Kay Anderson, Bob Randall and the Littlehale family; bluegrass artists Rusty Hinges; and Midcoast Community Band. All are local residents, and audiences have grown consistently with each concert.
Concertgoers are invited to bring refreshments (no alcohol allowed), blankets or lawn chairs and relax with Bay Winds North at the end of summer, down by the old mill stream.
