Community Connections meeting March 28

Mar 26, 2014
The Super Hod was built by the Waldoboro Shellfish Committee in 2009.

Waldoboro — The Waldoboro Business Association is hosting the next Community Connections meeting at the Village Bakery & Café Friday, March 28, at 8 a.m.

There are two important items to discuss. The first item is the rules for the “Adopt the Hod” program and the second is ideas for Waldoboro Day. If an organization wants to participate in the super hod program, they will need to sign up.

Volunteers to craft clam hods of various sizes will be needed and young people from the schools and local artists will be needed to paint and decorate them. These hods will be placed all over town (weather permitting) and can be located inside or outside the Waldoboro establishments.

If you have some interesting ideas for Waldoboro Day, join the gathering this Friday. Brainstorming about the activities that you remember from the past or new ones that you would like to see happen, will help make this day fun for everyone.

If you can’t attend the meeting send your ideas to: Caren Clark at cbcon3@roadrunner.com or call her at 832-0633.
