Benefit supper for Area Interfaith Outreach
ROCKLAND — A benefit supper will be held Thursday, March 21, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Oceanside High School East.
Soup, salad, bread, and dessert will be served in the cafeteria. The cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under and seniors 60 and over.
The event is in conjunction with Oceanside's March Community Read where students and staff are encouraged to read the Veronica Roth book "Divergent" during the month. Free copies have been given to those wishing to participate and activities are planned.
Parent-Child Workshop begins April 3
ROCKLAND — Rockland Public Library announces a new program for families and up to 3-year-old children to share together.
The five week Parent-Child Workshop (caregivers are welcome too) will be held at the library on Wednesday mornings beginning April 3. The workshop features toys, crafts, books and play. Community resource people will be onhand to discuss parenting questions and concerns. In-person pre-registration at the library required.

Young men's group forms in Union
UNION — Georges River Valley Chapter of DeMolay has been formed to serve the Midcoast region, which has been without a DeMolay Chapter for several years.
DeMolay is an organization dedicated to preparing young men to lead successful, happy, and productive lives.
Basing its approach on timeless principles and practical, hands-on experience, DeMolay opens doors for young men aged 12 to 21 by developing the civic awareness, personal responsibility and leadership skills so vitally needed in society today.
DeMolay combines this serious mission with a fun approach that builds important bonds of friendship among members in more than 1,000 chapters worldwide.
Meetings are the first and third Wednesdays of the month, 7:30 to 9 p.m. at Union Masonic Lodge. For more information, contact grvdemolay@gmail.com.
Church supper
ROCKLAND — The Rockland Congregational Church will hold a public dinner on Monday, March 25, at 5:30 p.m. at 180 Limerock St.
Dinner features, mac and cheese, baked beans, hot dogs, coleslaw and homemade pies. Cost is $7 per person.
