Aldergate church hosts dinner
ROCKLAND — There will be a public supper at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Route 17, across from Chickawaukie Lake on Saturday, Sept. 29 at 5 p.m. Baked beans, casseroles, salads, home-made pies. The cost is $7.50. Handicapped accessible. All welcome.
Public dinner planned for Washington
WASHINGTON –– There will be a public dinner at the Washington Fire Department, located on Old Union Road, on Saturday, Sept. 29 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Turkey, roast beef, baked beans, casseroles, pies and more. Cost is $8 adults, $4 children. The dinner is sponsored by the Washington Fire Department Auxiliary.
Benefit supper for Ames
SOUTH THOMASTON –– A benefit supper and raffle will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 2 at 5 p.m. at the Peoples United Methodist Church in South Thomaston for Pete Ames. Ames had a brain tumor removed Aug. 21 and will be going through treatment. Donations will be accepted for the meal. The menu includes lobster stew, lasagna, rolls, salad bar, variety of desserts. Supper to support scholarships in Union
UNION –– A benefit supper to support the Union Masonic Scholarship Program will be held Friday, Oct. 5 from 5 to 7 p.m. Two $500 scholarships are awarded each year to a Medomak Valley High School and Camden Rockport High School student. A chicken BBQ will be served, Please help support a child's future. The dinner will be held at the Union Masonic Hall on the East Sennebec Road in Union. Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children 10 and younger.
Bowling tournament to support Waldoboro Fire Department anniversary
WALDOBORO –– There will be a three-person bowling tournament on Sunday, Oct. 14 at 5 p.m. at AllPlay Family Entertainment Center in Waldoboro. The cost is $100 per team. First-place team wins $300, second-place wins $150. Proceeds benefit the 175th anniversary celebration of the Waldoboro Fire Department in 2013.
