Church supper open to public
ROCKLAND –– On Monday, Sept. 24 at 5:30 p.m. there will be a public supper at the Rockland Congregational Church, located at 180 Limerock St. The cost is $7 per person. There will be baked beans, mac-n-cheese, hot dogs, coleslaw and homemade pies.
Thomaston bean supper
THOMASTON –– A baked bean supper will be held at the American Legion in Thomaston on Saturday, Sept. 22 at 5 p.m. Beans, chop suey, coleslaw, rolls and cakes for dessert. The cost is $7 for adults, $4 for children.
Waldoboro Business Association to meet
WALDOBORO ––The Waldoboro Business Association’s next monthly meeting will be Wednesday, Sept. 26 at 6:30 p.m. at The Village Bakery and Cafe, 11 Friendship St. in Waldoboro Village.
Scheduled is continuation of planning of the Oct. 10 Business Showcase with updates, and an update on the Waldoboro YMCA. If a speaker is available, the group also will hear from Lincoln County Healthcare and the effects of the closure of Saint Andrews Hospital. Light refreshments will be served.
Waldoboro alpaca farm to open to public
WALDOBORO –– On Sept. 29-30, Cloud Hollow Farm, located at 559 Friendship Road in Waldoboro will be open to the public.
Stop by and learn about alpaca shepherding and meet the Smiling Welara Pony and two new mini horses. Check out the renewable energy options, the farm employs and check out the growth of the bamboo.
Celebrate October at the St. George Grange
ST. GEORGE ––There will be a flea market, craft fair and public supper at Wiley's Corner on Saturday, Oct. 6 at 9 a.m. Muffins, free coffee, baked goods, Carol's Famous Nissua Bread, pickles, preserves, soups, hot dogs, biscuits, fresh locally-grown produce and local crafters.
