ROCKLAND — There will be a public supper Monday, Oct. 28, at 5:30 at Rockland Congregational Church, located on Limerock Street.
Meatloaf, gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, gingerbread with real whipped cream. The cost is $8 per person.

Churches to hold Trunk or Treat events
Two Midcoast churches have organized Trunk or Treat celebrations.
Aldersgate United Methodist church's annual celebration is a way to invite community children, friends, families, old and young to participate in a fun, safe alternative/addition to trick-or-treating.
Everyone is invited to this free event, in costumes or not on Friday, Oct. 25, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the church, located off Route 17 across from Chickawaukie Pond. It will be held rain or shine. For more information call, 512-0667.
A second event will be held Thursday, Oct. 31, at 5:30 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints parking lot, located at 100 Old County Road in Rockport,
The event will go until the candy runs out.
Waldoboro Business Association meets Oct. 30
WALDOBORO — The next monthly meeting of the Waldoboro Business Association will be Wednesday, Oct. 30, at 6:30 p.m.
Scheduled to speak are Willa Antczak, Waldoboro Community Planner, John Heller and Charlotte Davenhill from the YMCA Waldoboro Board who will present an update on progress made, and if available, Paul Smeltzer, Waldoboro Fire Chief, will present information on the next project that the fire department is working on.
The meeting is at the Village Bakery & Cafe, 11 Friendship St. in Waldoboro Village. Light refreshments are available.

Boston Christmas Festival bus trip Nov. 9
Plants Unlimited, on Route 1 in Rockport, is organizing its annual motor coach trip to the Boston Christmas Festival Saturday, Nov. 9.
This annual festival, held at the Seaport World Trade Center, features the distinctive work of more than 300 master American craftsmen. Bargain hunters, as well as those with extravagant tastes, will find an endless array of home accessories, designer fashions, artisan jewelry, handcrafted holiday décor, specialty foods and handcrafted gifts.
Bus pickups include Belfast at 6 a.m., Camden at 6:30 a.m., Rockland at 6:45 a.m. and Thomaston, Waldoboro, Damariscotta and anywhere else along the Route 1 corridor. The motor coach will arrive at the show at 10:30 a.m. and depart at 3:30 p.m. followed by a stop at Faneuil Hall Marketplace and leaving for home at 5:45 p.m. The cost for this trip is $89.99 and includes tickets to the show.

Senior citizens holiday shopping trip Nov. 11
The Thomaston and St. George Recreation Departments will once again offer its annual Senior Citizen Holiday Shopping trip to residents and non-residents on Veteran’s Day, Monday, Nov. 11. using transportation from Northeast Charters.
This trip is free for residents of Thomaston and St. George. Stops will include the Christmas Tree Shop, the Maine Mall, and Target.

Medomak Middle School hosts 6th annual Craft Fair
WALDOBORO — The 6th annual Medomak Middle School PTO Holiday Craft Fair will be held Saturday, Nov. 2, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Medomak Middle School, 318 Manktown Road.
There will be 40-plus vendors from all across the state, as well as local crafters, with Maine made crafts including jams, jewelry, chocolates, paintings, prints, stoneware, knit items, clothing, ornaments, baskets, aprons, cards, balsam, wreaths and more.
Free admission, raffles, door prizes, and plenty of free parking.
Great food and refreshments available. The craft fair benefits MMS students.
Christmas Fair at St. Bernard's
ROCKLAND — A Christmas Fair will be held at St. Bernard's Church on Broadway on Saturday, Nov. 9, from 8 a.m. to noon. Christmas decorations, arts and crafts, jewelry, books, white elephant tables of dishes, knick-knacks, household items, clothing, toys, and baked goods. Sweets will be offered in the tea room and sandwiches at lunch.
Grief groups form in Hope
HOPE — Had a child die? Still feeling along? Had one or more pregnancy losses?
Grief groups for both are now forming at Sweet Tree Arts with Kali Bird Isis MA, CD, beginning Monday nights, 6.30 to 8 p.m. for eight weeks, beginning Nov. 11.
Find the support needed through the holiday season. This is open to all grieving parents and grandparents and is by donation only.
Bird Isis received a masters in expressive arts therapy at Antioch New England Graduate School and is a certified doula.
She was the bereavement service coordinator for Hospice of Hancock County and worked as a HEALS (Hospice Expressive Arts Loss Support) therapist.
