Rockport — The annual luncheon of Coastal Senior College will be held Thursday, May 29, at 11:30 a.m. at the Samoset Resort. The event is open to members and the public as well.

Each year the luncheon features a speaker, with last year’s the noted Maine author Colin Woodard who spoke about his then new book, "American Nations." This year’s speaker is environmental artist Marnie Sinclair. Sinclair has exhibited locally, including recently at Skidompha Library in Damariscotta where she also presented a talk on her art. Some dozen examples of her art pieces, including a few of her free-standing sculptures, will be on display.

The cost of the luncheon will be $24 for non-members and $20 for members. The menu includes a choice of vegetarian lasagna or chicken piccata, and includes salad with raspberry vinaigrette, German chocolate cake, coffee and tea. There will be a cash bar.

Advance reservations are required by May 23 and can be made by calling the University College at Rockland's Administrative Staff at either 596-6906 or 1-800-286-1594.
