Coastal Quilters annual Potluck Holiday Party Dec. 14
Camden — Coastal Quilters will meet Saturday, Dec. 14 at 10 a.m. at the Camden Lions’ Club on Lions’ Lane in Camden.
This month’s program is the annual Potluck Holiday Party. This annual holiday celebration features a variety of components including an array of potluck brunch foods.
In addition, last year’s first Yankee Swap proved so much fun, the decision was made to do it again this year. Everyone who wants to participate brings an inexpensive, wrapped, fiber arts-related gift (can be new or something gently used). Numbers are drawn and gifts selected in numerical order. The fun is that when your turn comes, you can either keep the gift you unwrapped or swap with someone else. Number one gets the last chance to swap.
Also, the Grand Holiday Raffle will have a slight twist this year. Because this December raffle has become laden with gifts, most donated by members and some local fabric arts businesses, single winners felt overwhelmed and that it was too much. This year, all the raffle items have been divided into numerous groupings and there will be many winners sharing the largesse.
Show & Tell is also part of the day’s festivities providing folks to show some of their most recent creations. The day winds up with a very short business meeting.
The meeting is open to all, free of charge, but please bring a brunch potluck dish (anything from appetizers to entree to dessert) to share and also an inexpensive (even something gently used or re-gifted), preferably fiber arts-related, wrapped gift for the Yankee Swap.
