Professor George Jacobson pulls a core sample from Sargent Mountain Pond in Acadia National Park. He will talk about the local implication of climate change in a Thursday, March 20 talk at the St. George town office.

Tenants Harbor — Maine State Climatologist Jacobson of the University of Maine Climate Change Institute has tracked climate change from 60,000 years ago up to the present time.

On Thursday, March 20, at 7 p.m. in the Tenants Harbor town office he will offer surprising insights gleaned from field work and historical data. Long Term View of Climate Change and Its Local Implications will include his thoughts about the climate future for Maine. Printed material on climate change in Maine will be available.
