CLC gymnasts excel in 'Snow Much Fun' meet

By Staff | Dec 17, 2012

Old Town — The Central Lincoln County YMCA’s competitive gymnastics team, under the direction of coach Janice Cormier-Hay, kicked off its 2012-2013 season with the “Snow Much Fun” meet Dec. 2 at the Old Town/Orono YMCA.

At the meet, CLC gymnasts competed against the Old Town host team, Leaps N’ Bounds of Fairfield and Waterville YMCA.

Coach Cormier-Hay said she was excited for the first meet and the upcoming season. “We have 22 girls representing 10 towns from Lincoln County on our team this year. Some girls are seasoned competitors and some are very new to gymnastics. But what I love about these girls is that they have bonded as a team already, cheering each other on to do their best and supporting each other; that is what our gymnastics team is all about.”
