Chau to address Maine Women's Network
On Nov. 7, The Maine Women’s Network will host guest Monica Chau, web and media specialist at Pen Bay Healthcare.
Chau will present how LinkedIn can improve one's personal and professional networking, and be an effective tool to enhance a company’s image. LinkedIn has more than 175 million registered users since June 2012.
Chau will present tips using LinkedIn as an effective networking tool, how to create an engaging profile and demonstrate ways to promote a business on a LinkedIn company page. Find out how LinkedIn differs from other social media sites and whether it fits overall in a social media strategy. Chau’s presentation will benefit both the beginner as well as an established LinkedIn user, and members will be given the opportunity to have a digital photo taken for their own profile page on LinkedIn. Members, guests, and the general public are invited to attend.
For more than 15 years, Chau has drawn from her creative and digital background to provide Internet marketing, web design and social media strategy expertise to help small businesses and nonprofits achieve their goals. Chau, currently at Pen Bay Healthcare, also worked from 2007-2011 as a web designer in USM’s Department of Marketing and Brand Management.
Meetings take place at The Haven on Route 90 in Rockport from 5:15 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. This year’s theme is, “Networking: Reaching Out” with a full season of speakers and activities focused on making personal, professional, and community connections.
