Chamber appoints new board member
Camden — Vera Rand Roberts joins the Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce board of directors. Additionally she has also accepted the position of treasurer for the chamber.
“Vera brings a wealth of experience, enthusiasm, leadership, and business acumen to the chamber. We are very glad to have her rejoin the board,” said Peter Horch, president, Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Roberts is a longtime resident of the Penobscot Bay area and has worked for Camden National Bank for the past 23 years. She is a senior vice president and the Midcoast region commercial manager overseeing commercial lending and business development in Waldo, Knox and Lincoln counties.
“I was a member of the board of directors of the Penobscot Bay Chamber of Commerce and later became a member of the Camden/Rockport/Lincolnville Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors when my work responsibilities brought me to Camden,” said Roberts.
She has also held leadership roles on several other boards such as Harbor Family Services, Mid-Coast Family Services, Broadreach Family & Community Services, the local chapter of the American Institute of Banking, chairperson of the Hope Budget Committee for several years, and as a member of the Camden Economic Development Advisory Committee.
Roberts continued, “I am genuinely excited by the opportunity to take on an active role in the Chamber and help to keep the Midcoast region a vibrant place to live, work and visit.”
