CELEBRATION OF MILLAY'S 1912 "DISCOVERY" AT WHITEHALL INN CONTINUES TOMORROW AND THURSDAY
This summer’s celebration of the 100th anniversary of the “discovery” of Pulitzer-Prize-winning poet Edna St. Vincent Millay at Camden’s historic Whitehall Inn in 1912 continues tomorrow evening with LOVE, VINCENT: WRITING HOME. Poet Candice Stover will read and discuss Millay's letters home from her years at Vassar College & in Greenwich Village, Europe and upstate New York. Wednesday, July 25th at 7 p.m. The event is free to the public with refreshments served.
On Thursday, July 26th there will be a guided walk to local Millay sites, all within a short distance of the Whitehall Inn. Meet in the Millay Room at 11 a.m. Free to the public.
Also on Thursday evening, a film showing of the recent documentary, BURNING CANDLES: THE LIFE OF EDNA ST. VINCENT MILLAY. The film starts at 5 p.m. and is free to the public with refreshmants served.
