Celebrate Italian culture with Penobscot School
Rockland — Celebrate Italian culture Saturday, Nov. 9, at Penobscot School in Rockland.
Make pasta, taste Italian wines, watch an Italian movie, converse in Italian and enjoy the company of others at this one-day event.
Led by Eleonora Mella, Penobscot School’s native Italian teacher from Padova, Italy, pasta making will be an opportunity to learn the basics of making this wonderful dish. Start from scratch to create a meal in the school’s kitchen then enjoy the creations. Chef Melissa Kelly of Primo Restaurant will lend her expertise for a portion of the morning. Chef Melody Wolfertz, owner of In Good Company, will join the group at 2:30 p.m. for a wine tasting. Afternoon activities also include watching an Italian film followed by discussion.
This course is appropriate for Italian students at all levels. Early registration is encouraged as space is limited. For more information and costs, call 594-1084.
