CCT auditions for Dessert Soiree

Jan 10, 2013

Camden — Camden Civic Theatre will hold auditions for its third annual Dessert Soiree, presented this year as a fundraiser with live entertainment. As the event will take place around Valentine’s Day, love songs are especially encouraged.

Auditions for solos, duets, instrumentals, etc. related to musicals and/or Broadway will be held Saturday, Jan. 19, from 1 to 3 p.m. on the third floor of the Camden Opera House, Elm Street/Route 1. An accompanist may or may not be available, so auditioners should come prepared for either situation and should sing the number(s) they intend to perform. There will be a limit of two songs per performer; only one may be chosen, depending on how the program comes together.

Two or three rehearsals will be scheduled before the Dessert Soiree, which will take place Saturday, Dec. 16 at the same location. The dessert table will begin serving at 6:30 p.m. and the entertainment will begin at 7 p.m.; a $10 donation will be requested at the door.
