Caring, sharing at Camden Hills

Gift donation to benefit area Head Start children
Nov 29, 2012

Rockport — Members of the Gay Straight Alliance Club at Camden Hills Regional High School are inviting students, faculty, and the community to join with them in providing gifts for giving to area Head Start children.

Donated items can be new or used, but in excellent condition. This is a great opportunity to re-gift. And, please, do not wrap gifts.

Eighty-eight children currently attend the local Head Start program, and as each chooses several gifts to give, many items are needed.

Gifts should be anything that small children might like to give parents, siblings, grandparents, or enjoy having themselves. In past years, such gifts included: clothing for children or adults, toys, games, puzzles, cards, books, art supplies, tickets to special events, video or music CD’s, pottery, candles, calendars, note cards, jewelry, soaps and bath products, etc.

Donations are being accepted from now through Thursday, Dec. 13 and can be dropped off throughout the day in the front office at Camden Hills.

Thanks for caring and sharing and making this a happier holiday for many of the youngest and most needy area residents.
