Warren — A Friendship man was charged with failing to yield to a right of way following a two-car crash at the intersection of Route 90 and Eastern Road in Warren May 15.

Warren Fire and Emergency Medical Services, along with Knox County Sheriff's Office personnel responded to the scene at approximately 12:30 p.m.

Joseph Brouthers, 71, of Friendship was turning left onto Route 90 from the Oyster River Road in front of Diane Sleek, 62, of Freeport as she was traveling south from the Eastern Road straight through the intersection, according to a news release from Knox County Sheriff's Office.

The two collided and Brouthers 2008 Jeep Patriot landed on its roof and Sleek's 2013 Dodge Caravan received front end and passenger side damage.

Brouthers had minor injuries with complaints of pain and cuts to his hands and Sleek was not injured, according to police.
