Cappy's community dinner to support Y playground project

Mar 11, 2014

Camden — The Penobscot Bay YMCA plans to replace the existing playground with a new structure for the Y children and for the entire community. The Y feels it is important to provide children of all ages with fun and safe active environment. Playgrounds are vital for a child’s cognitive, emotional, physical, and social development.

To assist the Penobscot Bay YMCA and their goal to build a new playground, Cappy’s Chowder House has arranged for Wednesday, March 12 to be its Community Connections night. From 5 to 9 p.m., Cappy’s will donate up to half of the food sales that restaurant patrons spend on dinner to help them reach their goal of building a new playground for the children and community.

Anyone wishing to support the Penobscot Bay YMCA is invited to simply eat dinner at Cappy’s on that night.
