Campbell remembered in library show
Waldoboro — “Don Campbell: Waldoboro Son,” a photography exhibit by local photographer Linda Eastman, is on view during September at the Waldoboro Public Library, 958 Main St./Route 220.
Struck by the tragic news of the death of pilot Don Campbell of Penobscot Island Air Inc. on Oct. 5, 2011 on Matinicus Island, Eastman was moved by the many people whose lives Campbell touched and the outpouring of concern that the coastal communities showed a few days later when his life was celebrated. Eastman’s exhibit of photographs of the funeral is supported by family historical photos and two written works, “Ada’s House” and “Remembering Don” by personal biographer Jean Lawrence.
Eastman’s exhibit may be viewed at the library throughout the month of September. To contact the photographer, send email to aestudio@myfairpoint.net.
