Camden Rotary used, antique furniture sale May 25Donations being accepted
Camden — Camden Rotary Club is hosting a Gently Used & Antique Furniture Sale Saturday, May 25 at the former offices of Penobscot Pension Services on Route 17 in West Rockport.
The sale will take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot just south of the intersection of Route 90 and 17, across from the West Rockport Post Office. This event is made possible through the generosity of Allen Insurance and Financial. Rain date is Sunday, May 26.
"This is a new event for us this year," Club President Jim Bowditch remarked at a recent meeting. "It's an adaptation of Camden Rotary's popular Giant Yard Sale, but we've decided to focus on used and antique furniture. Proceeds from the sale will be used to support local 501c3 non-profit organizations that are making a difference in our community."
To donate furniture for the sale, items can be dropped off at the Pen Bay YMCA parking lot starting on May 15. The Rotary Club is currently seeking the following items in usable condition: home, office, antique furniture, storage fixtures, outdoor/patio furniture, workbenches, lamps in working order,
Items that are ripped, heavily worn or soiled will not be accepted. The following items will not be accepted for the sale: mattresses and box springs, appliances, gardening equipment, dog furniture or other tag sale items like China and clothing.
