Camden Rotary seeks applicants for leadership training scholarship
Camden — The Camden Rotary Club is accepting applications for a Rotary Youth Leadership Awards training program to be held Sept.19-21 at Adventure Bound in Caratunk.
Selected applicants will receive scholarship assistance to participate in the program, which brings together adventurous, service-oriented students and young professionals. Delegates will develop leadership and career skills while enjoying a fun weekend with other young leaders from Maine and Quebec.
Bangor Savings Bank Senior Customer Service Specialist Brittany Dondlinger, participated in RYLA last year and said the experience taught her a lot about teamwork.
"The RYLA experience really brought me out of my comfort zone," recalls Dondlinger, 25, of Waldoboro, in a news release. "I put a lot of energy into getting the most out of the weekend by continuing to mingle, participating in all activities, and volunteering to be the first to try something new in front of a group. This truly was an amazing experience for me, I would recommend it to anyone."
