Camden Hills surges to 3-0; BAHS, Mount View fall short
Three Knox and Waldo high school golf squads were in action Thursday, Sept. 5, with Camden Hills and Belfast hosting matches and Mount View taking its links show on the road.
The unbeaten Windjammers had no trouble with visiting Lincoln Academy of Newcastle emerging with a 143-191 win, while Brewer defeated Belfast 198-217 and Bangor bested Mount View 172-217.
A team can feature several golfers, but the top four nine-hole scores from each team comprise each squad's overall stroke total or score.

Camden Hills 143, Lincoln Academy 191
At the Samoset Resort in Rockport Sept. 5, the Windjammers remained unbeaten on the season, besting the visiting Eagles by 48 strokes.
Camden Hills' individual scores were: Drew Long 32, Daulton Wickenden 35, Julian Starbird 39, Drew Holt 38, Jared Garske 38, Oliver Bianchi 55, Austin Pohlman 48 and Louis Laurita 55.
Lincoln Academy's individual scores were: Seward Matel 41, Bailey Plourde 45, Austin Armstrong 52, Liam Brinkler 58, Sammy Zaidi 55 and John Potter 53.
Long was the medalist, shooting a blistering 2-under par 32 on the par-34 course.
Brewer 198, Belfast 217
At Northport Golf Club Sept. 5, the Lions were downed by the visiting Witches, dropping their third straight match, this time by 19 strokes.
The individual results, with Belfast players listed first, were: Alex Fritz (58) lost to Evan Riva (49); Logan Mitchell (52) beat T. Williams (55); Doyle Bailey (54) lost to Zach Torrey (52); Grant Starrett (54) lost to Tyler Brooks (50); Josh Adams (62) lost to Jacob Currier (48); and Peter Brunette (57) lost to Mark Colley (51).
Currier was the medalist, shooting 48 on the par-36 course.
In jayvee action, Allen Alley shot 70 for Belfast.
Bangor 172, Mount View 217
At Bangor Municipal Golf Course Sept. 5, the Rams had their top five golfers shoot under 45, which helped them surge to the win over the Mustangs.
Mount View's individual scores were: Eric Larrabee 40, Ross Delorenzo 53, Wes Turner 61, Harry Dyer 63, Cassidy Gerrish 65 and Cay Outerbridge 68.
Bangor's individual scores were: Jake Ireland 42, Rye Powell 42, Drew Powell 44, Andrew Hillier 44, Reed Brookings 45 and Joe Moir 52.
Larrabee was the medalist, shooting 40 on the par-36 course.
