Camden Hills boys conduct soccer clinic for Penobscot Bay YMCA
Lincolnville — The Camden Hills Regional High School boys soccer team spent the morning of Oct. 5 as guest coaches for the Penobscot Bay YMCA ages 4-11 recreational program at Lincolnville Central School.
Members of the Windjammer squad led the future pitch stars through a series of fun games aimed to grow both their enjoyment of the game and their soccer skills, said Camden Hills coach Ryan Hurley. The festivities concluded with an impromptu Red versus White game with the 'Jammer varsity players competing against each other while "an incredibly enthusiastic crowd of young players cheered them on."
"We had such a good time today," Hurley said. "It's really important for our players to see the importance of volunteering and the positive influence they can have on young players and their community. All of our players have benefited tremendously from the many experiences and relationships youth soccer has provided them. It's really fantastic when they can give back to something that has given so much to them. Many thanks to Jasen Wood and Dwight Pitcairn of the YMC for facilitating such and awesome day."
