Camden Hills Band holds Winter Concert

Rockport — The Camden Hills Regional High School Band, directed by Nancy Rowe, will hold its annual Winter Concert Wednesday, Jan. 9 at 7 p.m. in the Strom Auditorium of the school, Route 90.  The concert will feature the Camden Hills Concert and Jazz bands.

The Concert Band will perform a variety of repertoire including “Danny Boy” and a medley from the popular movie “How to Train Your Dragon.” The Jazz Band will feature senior drummer Orion Krause in a tribute to Gene Krupa. Senior tenor saxophonist Brennan Callen will be the featured soloist in Dave Wolpe’s arrangement of “Angel Eyes.” Other soloists include Cooper Krause, Aaron Nolan, Chandler Crans, Forest Priestley and Matt Eaton.

Suggested admission is a non-perishable food item for local food pantries. The snow date for the concert is Thursday, Jan. 10.
