Camden gardeners awarded at Bath horticulture show
Members of Camden Garden Club traveled to Bath to compete in the "Autumn Jewel Tones" Horticulture Show, presented by the Bath Garden Club Sept. 24.
Gardeners from other clubs in the Medomak District of the Garden Club Federation of Maine also were invited to enter the show, which complied with the requirements established by National Garden Clubs, Inc.
Awards given to Camden members included Sandy Terry’s two firsts, two seconds and a third. Judy Flock won a first, a second and an honorable mention. Cindy Rocknak won a first in the Challenge Class.
Camden Garden Club member Molly Foster served as president of the Judges Council, and Sandy Terry, also of the Camden club as well as of the Bath club, was show coordinator. The event took place at Grace Episcopal Church in Bath.
Sixty-six gardeners from Wiscasset, Boothbay, Topsham and Bath, as well as Camden attended. Also on the Judges Council were Nancy Atwell, Linda Frinsko, Candy Oliver, Sandra Leonard and Marilyn Traiser.
