Camden Garden Club program on Maine's song birds
Camden — From forests and coastlines, to lakes, mountains, and rolling fields, Maine is a wonderful place for seeing and hearing some of North America's most iconic birds. The authors of the 2012 book, "Maine’s Favorite Birds" — Dr. Jeff Wells and Allison Childs Wells — will talk about the rich world of birds at the third of the Camden Garden Club’s Winter Horticulture Series, Tuesday, Feb. 11.
Both speakers worked for years at the Cornell University Lab of Ornithology. Jeff Wells is the senior scientist for the Boreal Songbird Institute and has been national bird conservation director for the Audubon Society. Allison Childs Wells is a history writer and senior director at the National Resources Council of Maine.
The program will start at 10 a.m. in the Picker Room of the Camden Library. Everyone is welcome.
