At the Thursday, September 27th meeting of the Camden Garden Club, the speaker will be Lisa Colburn of Orono.   Her new book, The Maine Garden Journal, suggests best-practices and hardy plants for gardening here in zones 5, or 4, or 3, for every Maine gardener; but it’s an answer to prayers for those who are transplants from balmier climes.  In her talk, Lisa will share stories and tips from over one hundred experienced gardeners from throughout Maine.  As one contributor said, “I’ve been waiting to tell someone this stuff for years!”

The Camden Garden Club is a member of the Garden Club Federation of Maine, and holds its monthly meetings in spring through fall at the Congregational Church, Elm Street (Rte. 1), Camden.   Refreshments at 9 a.m., speaker at 9:30 and business meeting at 10:30.  The public is always welcome, as are applicants for membership.
