Camden First Aid fundraising dinner
Many only think of the Camden First Aid Association when one of their vehicles drives by on the street with lights flashing and sirens blaring or in that horrible moment when one calls 911 in critical need.
Camden First Aid Association is a private, nonprofit ambulance company that provides around the clock 911 coverage for the towns of Camden, Rockport, Hope and Lincolnville. Their mission is to provide high quality emergency medical care to families and neighbors no matter the time of day or night. They provide compassionate, ethical, dignified and professional service through their caring and supportive team of employees who strive to continually emphasize safety and professionalism.
While Camden First Aid bills insurance and is partially supported by the towns it serves, these sources of income never come close to covering the expenses of providing these critical services to the communities. This reality means the men and women who constantly train and serve in one's most desperate hour also constantly struggle to have their organization’s ends meet.
Tuesday, March 5 is chance to give these men and women thanks. Simply by eating dinner at Graffam Bros. Harborside Restaurant that evening from 5 to 9p.m., one can support them in their mission. That evening the Graffam family will donate half of whatever restaurant patrons spend on dinner to the Camden First Aid Association.
Graffam Bros. Harborside Restaurant is located off the public landing parking lot on the ground floor of the Grand Harbor Inn building. Representatives from Camden First Aid will be on hand at the restaurant all evening to answer questions about their organization.
