Camden bank hires new commercial banking officer
Camden — Chad Place of Belfast has been hired as assistant vice president, commercial banking officer. He will serve the Rockland, Thomaston, Vinalhaven, and Union communities
“Chad’s experience as a credit analyst and commercial portfolio manager combined with his roots in the midcoast community give him a real advantage,” said Vera Rand Roberts, senior vice president and Midcoast commercial regional manager, in a news release. “He understands the local market, and the commercial lending process, these combined together provide our customers with a true trustworthy business partner.”

Place joins Camden National’s financial services team at the Spear Block building which includes commercial lender Steve Matteo; Market Manager Randy Cruz; Branch Manager Connie Sawyer; Retail Loan Officer Jane Dagley; Camden Financial Consultant Charlie White; and 10 other banking professionals.
Place graduated from the University of Maine at Farmington, with a bachelor of arts in business/economics. He lives in Belfast with his wife, Dawn and two daughters. Place enjoys playing golf, making homemade maple syrup, bow hunting, and enjoying the outdoors. He is a member of Lions Club International and Junior Achievement of Maine.
