Buying, financing insuring car workshop

Rockland — Buying and insuring a car, whether it is a first-time purchase or the tenth, can seem like a daunting task therefore Spectrum Generations Knox Community Center, 61 Park St. in Rockland has scheduled the following two workshops.

Taking the Mystery out of Purchasing, Leasing, Financing and Maintaining a Vehicle: On Tuesday, Feb. 25, at 1 p.m. Bruce Haines, Finance Executive for Chrysler will discuss used and new car purchasing, things to know before the purchase, how to avoid common pitfalls, getting the best price and what to do if there is a problem with the purchase as well as how to finance and maintain the purchase.

Taking the Mystery out of Insuring a Vehicle: Choosing just the right automobile insurance coverage that protects financial assets as well as the vehicle can be a confusing experience. Avoid making simple mistakes by joining insurance agents Bobbie Wentworth and Melissa Robbins from J Edward Knight Insurance in Rockland on Friday, Feb. 28, at 10:30 a.m. for a candid discussion about purchasing the vehicle insurance that fits one's lifestyle and budget.

All ages are welcome to attend. There is a $5 participation fee and registration is required by calling 596-0339.
