‘Broadway Echoes II’ at Thomaston Baptist

Thomaston — The public is invited to enjoy a trip down Memory Lane via “Broadway Echoes II” Saturday, May 3, at 4 p.m. at Thomaston Baptist Church, 212 Main St./Route 1. Admission is free; there will be a basket by the door for voluntary contributions.

Robert Wyllie conducts a choir of local singers in the concert of well-known Broadway numbers. Choral selections will include “76 Trombones,” arranged by Lojeski; “Lullaby of Broadway,” arranged by Althouse; and “Sunrise, Sunset,” arranged by Brymer. Soloists will be Pamela Coombs, Ruth Holden, Julianne Wathen-Gilbert, Leticia van Vuuren and Jeffery Morse.

Other special numbers will include a duet from “Mame” and a men’s chorus “There’s Nothing Like a Dame!” For more information, call the church office at 354-6706.
