‘Breakfast’ author starts Speakers Series
Waldoboro — On Monday, Jan. 7, Friends of the Waldoboro Public Library will kick off its 2013 Speakers Series with breakfast. Featured author is Dana Moos, author of "The Art of Breakfast," a beautifully illustrated cookbook filled with mouth-watering recipes for breakfast and brunch. The event at the library, 958 Main St./Route 220, will begin at 9:30 a.m. with muffins and coffee, followed by Moos' talk and cooking demonstrations at 10 a.m.
Moos’ talents and professions include being a photographer, a guest chef at Stonewall Kitchen in York and a proprietor with her husband of a B&B in the Portland area. In addition, she works in commercial real estate specializing in selling B&Bs, inns and recreational properties throughout Maine.
Moos is a native Washingtonian who grew up in Maryland before moving to Maine to purchase the bed and breakfast with her husband. Having left a corporate job in commercial real estate management, she truly appreciates the state motto, "Maine, the way life should be." In Maine, breakfast is more than a dish of blueberries, especially when family and friends are visiting.
This program is free and open to the public. Copies of "The Art of Breakfast" will be available for purchase (cash or checks only). For more information, contact the library at 832-4484 or visit waldoborolibrary.org.
