Brann is Artist for March
Waldoboro — Waldoboro Public Library’s Artist-of-the-Month for March is local photographer Bonnie Brann. Brann has been interested in photography ever since she was about 12 years old and took a “decent” picture of a horse. She has taken thousands of pictures since, but has not pursued it seriously until recently.
Brann is rarely seen anywhere without her camera, as everything is a potential “perfect shot.” Living on the coast of Maine has provided her with a treasure trove of subjects. In many instances, she does not even have to leave her own backyard. Brann took art classes in high school but has basically learned everything she knows about photography from reading about it, advice from photographer friends and, most of all, from trial and error.
Brann works full-time but looks forward to the day when she can devote more time to photography. In the meantime, she plans to take thousands of more photos and hopes they will continue to make people smile.
