Blues for the new year

Rockland — The Monday night blues series is on hiatus until February, but the annual New Year’s Eve Blues Party Monday, Dec. 31 at the Trade Winds Motor Inn on Park Drive offers blues fans a genre last hurrah for 2012.

Featured performer will be Jersey blues rocker Bobby Messano and his band. The festivities will begin at 7 p.m. with a four-course dinner, followed by dancing, party favors and a champagne toast at midnight. The tab of $199 plus tax per couple includes all of the above plus use of the pool and hot tub and a full New Year’s Day breakfast buffet.
