Birthday month at Thomaston library

Thomaston — During the month of March in the children’s room, Thomaston Public Library will celebrate famous author’s birthdays.

On Thursday, March 6, at 11 a.m. there will be a reading of "Happy Birthday to You," by Dr. Seuss and celebrating Dr. Seuss’s birthday with cupcakes and party hats.

On Tuesday, March 11, Ezra Jack Keats’ birthday will be honored at 11 a.m. with snowflakes, marshmallow coconut cookies and by reading "Snowy Day."

On Thursday, March 20, at 11 a.m., the library will celebrate Louis Sachar’s birthday and read "Monkey Soup." Monkey soup will be made and guests will sing about monkeys.

On Thursday, March 27, Librarian Joanna's birthday will be celebrated at 11 a.m. and will have a reading of Maurice Sendack’s "Where the Wild Things Are."
