Bid online for chamber auction, live event set for Nov. 2
There are now more than 289 items, valued at more than $60,000, for the Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce online and live auctions. The online auction bidding runs through Monday, Oct. 29 at 9 p.m.
The auction web site is: BiddingforGood.com/PBRCCAuction. Up for bid are manyproducts, getaways and services from hundreds of businesses and organizations. All money raised supports the chamber's mission of promoting the interests of its members by advocating for the commercial and economic development of the region.

About 100 items from the online bidding will be heading to the live auction on Friday, Nov. 2 at the Rockland Elks Lodge, located at 210 Rankin St. in Rockland. The live auction items are clearly identified on the website and absentee bidding will be available for those that cannot attend the live event.
At the live event, there will be auction items, cash raffle prizes (seven – $100 cash raffles), a 50/50 cash raffle, raffle items, cash bar and a concession stand. Bruce and Becky Gamage will be the auctioneer team. There also will be a $500 Elimination Drawing at the live event. The Elimination Drawing board consists of 100 numbers being sold at $20 each, in which one winner will receive a cash prize of $500. Every half-hour, starting at 6:30 p.m., 20 numbers will be randomly selected and removed from the board until only one number is left. That person will receive $500 in cash. In addition, there will be raffle drawings of items and services every half-hour at the live auction starting at 6:30 p.m.
