Berta releases debut album
Rockport — Clio Berta, a local 16-year-old singer/songwriter, recently released her debut album, “Little Sister." The album, available on iTunes, features her original compositions, contemporary pop and instrumental pieces.
After four years of piano lessons starting at age 6, Berta decided to change gears and “follow her bliss.” At age 11 she began composition lessons with local composer Malcolm Brooks and has been writing original music ever since.
Berta has performed at coffeehouse events, fundraisers such as Life Flight in the Camden Amphitheatre, open mics at The Rig and the former Lincoln Street Center and at gallery openings. She also has been involved with the Farnsworth Art Museum’s Julia's Gallery for three years, where she has worked as an artist as well as composer of scores. This includes scoring "ArtWORKS," a film created by Julia's Gallery and produced by the Farnsworth that premiered at the Strand Theatre in Rockland.
