Dec 04, 2013

Farmington — Student writers in the state’s only Bachelor of Fine Arts in Creative Writing program will read from their original work during the University of Maine at Farmington Fall 2013 Creative Writing Senior Reading. This free and open to the public reading will take place Thursday, Dec. 12, at 7:30 p.m. in The Landing of the UMF Olsen Student Center.

Held twice a year, this event features graduating seniors reading from their portfolio of original works in poetry, fiction and non-fiction. Participating students include Alex Beloin from Camden, who has just completed the Senior Seminar in Creative Writing.

The University of Maine at Farmington is one of only a few institutions in the Northeast that offers an undergraduate major in creative writing. It also has gained a reputation for excellence, attracting students from across New England and other parts of the United States.
