'Basketball for Bleachers' theme of Camden Hills alumni games

Players still sought for Dec. 28 games

Rockport — Camden Hills Regional High School has announced details for its annual alumni basketball games on Saturday, Dec. 28.

The women's game will be at 6 p.m. and the men's contest at 7:30 p.m.

Gary Spinney's elementary school Skippers jump rope team will perform at halftime of the women's game and the the Five Town Basketball youth players will play an exhibition during halftime of the men's games.

Concessions and a raffle will be available. Admission to the games is $5.

Alumni who wish to participate should call athletic director Steve Alex at 236-7800, ext. 414.

This year’s event will support of the school's ongoing Community Bleacher Project. The money raised will be used to help buy and install a 650-seat set of bleachers and press box adjacent to the Don Palmer Field.

The field is the main venue for Windjammer football, soccer, lacrosse, track and field and cross-country teams. The new bleachers and press box also will allow a wider range of community events to be held on the school campus.

To date the project has raised more than $30,000.
