Basket social raises $4,000 to benefit nursing association
On Tuesday, Oct. 16, more than 75 people gathered at Trackside Station to celebrate the Rockland District Nursing Association’s firstl Basket Social, raising $4,000.
The silent and live auctions consisted of a broad array of baskets from more than 50 area donors, including baked goods, picnics, meals and experiences with a taste of food.
RDNA warmly thanks Trackside Station, Bruce & Becky Gamage, and the Rock Coast Rollers for setting the bar high for 2013. A very special thank you goes to all donors, event volunteers, and friends who helped spread the word far and wide. The planning committee — Pat Snow, Anne Norman, Sara Hatfield, Audrey Lovering, Anna Ware, Peta vanVuuren — and RDNA are uplifted by this outpouring of support.
“The evening was a fabulous time of community and camaraderie for an excellent cause,” said Sara Hatfield in a news release. “The enthusiasm and energy of those gathered took the event to a level of success exceeding our wildest expectations.”
