Banquet for Boar’s Head

Dec 03, 2012
Animals from Zabby's Animal Farm in Waldoboro, , as well as Ridge Mist Llamas in Newcastle, are part of the annual Boar's Head and Yule Log Festival.

Rockland — Animals are big stars in the annual Boar's Head and Yule Log Festival and the pageant’s organizers invite the public to support the four-legged (and winged) cast members by enjoying a Renaissance banquet Friday, Dec. 14 at 6 p.m. at Rockland Congregational Church, 180 Limerock St.

Limb of Turkey, Roasted Root Vegetables, Goblets of Wine and a Figgy Pudding are just some of the menu options. As a forerunner to the Boar's Head and Yule Log Festival, set for Jan. 5 and 6, the banquet will include the King and Queen and other members of the Royal Court with musical entertainment by additional members of the cast.

Tariff for this sumptuous event is $25 or $45 per couple; reservations can be made by calling 594-8656. Financial benefit will go toward support for the numerous animals in the show.
