Arts and play in Sweet Tree spring

Apr 13, 2014
Children can enjoy hands-on, arts-oriented learning this spring at Sweet Tree Arts in Hope.

Hope — Spring brings Muddy Boots, Music and Mindfulness and more to Sweet Tree Arts for preschoolers and their families. Starting early May, a variety of preschool programs will be offered that encourage play, critical thinking and family connections.

Liza Gardner Walsh will offer Muddy Boots, an art and nature exploration for ages 3 to 5 on Thursdays from 10 to 11 a.m. Jess Day will offer JAMMM — Jess' Art Music, Movement and Mindfulness — for age 1 to 5 on Tuesdays from 9:30 to 10:20 a.m. And Lindsay Pinchbeck will offer Art Starts for 2- and 3-year-olds and the Carnegie Science preschool program for children age 3 to 5, both on Friday mornings.

Parent participation is encouraged, and scholarships are available. Sweet Tree Arts, an L3C community arts center, also offers a variety of ongoing after school and adult arts programming at its Hope Corner location. For more information, visit sweettreearts.org.
