Rockport — January’s ArtLab for All Ages at the Center for Maine Contemporary Art will be a Paint Chip Mosaic Workshop. Participants can create a mosaic-inspired work using colorful paint chips — the possibilities are limited only by one’s imagination. The workshop will take place Saturday, Jan. 4, from 2 to 4 p.m. at CMCA, 162 Russell Ave.

Admission is free and open to all. Materials will be provided. Instructor for the workshop is Marcie Jan Bronstein, an artist, designer and teacher with a special interest in collaborating with children. She is known for her hand-colored images and work with the photographic negative; her art is exhibited and collected internationally. She also is the author of “Fotoplay!”, a prompt book for children.

ArtLab is made possible in part thanks to generous support from Camden National Bank, the Milton and Sally Avery Art Foundation and individual donors. The Center for Maine Contemporary Art is a nonprofit organization advancing contemporary art in Maine through exhibitions and educational programs. Galleries are open seasonally, May through the beginning of December. For more information, visit cmcanow.org.
