Artist Trading Cards, make and share

Apr 11, 2017
The small-scale delights of Artist Trading Cards will be shared monthly at the Coastal Children’s Museum in Rockland’s South End.

Rockland — The Coastal Children’s Museum, located at Sharp’s Point South/75 Mechanic St., will host an Artist Trading Card session on the third Friday of each month. On Friday, April 21, from 5 to 7 p.m., the museum will open up its doors and feature a class that will allow participants to explore different artistic media; create new works of art; and swap cards with one another.

Parents, adults, kids and artists are encouraged to join in the fun. Space is limited, so early sign-up is encouraged; cost is just $10. No experience is necessary to participate.

During the evening program, instructors will guide participants through creating Artist Trading Cards. From exploring the color wheel to mastering new techniques, each individual will walk away with exciting new knowledge … and a stack of artworks.

For more information about the ATC event or to sign up, send email to programs@coastalchildrensmuseum.org or call 596-0300. The Coastal Children’s Museum is open year-round: Wednesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m. For more information on upcoming events and memberships available, visit coastalchildrensmuseum.org.
